So, Moxie Parade is this weekend. And, of course, I am in it, costume and all. I'll be posting the costume pieces individually and complete, as well as pictures taken during the course of the parade. I may get a group shot with the MTRA horses. I made tiny accessories for the ponies being used for pony rides (hosted by the MTRA), as well as accessories for every horse in our (MTRA) group. Putting the finishing touches on everything this week, then I'll take the accessories for a spin around town (I'm going to get the weirdest looks for my one-person parade) before I put them in the actual parade. Don't want boots and shit falling off in the streets.

On aother note, gettin' a mountain bike this week. Hopefully get rid of this extra weight over the summer. Should probably start on summer homework. Should probably sign up for another round of the SATs. should get a new cord for my laptop (cord broke and I've been stuck with no way of completing MTRA related work for roughly a month). I feel so useless.

MTRA meeting the day after the parade. Taking Zeke and going swimming in the lake prior to the meeting, car ride back is gonna suck with wet-dog smell.

Radio finally installed in the car. I love my dad, even if he waited 6 months to do it.

I love how BIRDS have become a national crisis. Once it was terrorists, then earthquakes, hurricanes... Now it's birds.

That's funny as hell.

But apparently, their methods of bird control as stated in the article aren't quite good enough. After all, birds took down the plane in New York.

You know, as soon as I saw that part of the article, I began to think: what would be a good way to take care of the bird problem?

Now I can picture this old guy with a brown beard wandering down the runways in between flights with a shotgun in hand. His chest high waders would cover the lower half of his red tobacco-stained plaid shirt, and the Budweiser baseball hat on his head would be beat to shit. He'd walk out to the end of the runway like some old hero, drop his cigarette on the ground and stomp it out with his over-sized leather work boots, and then he would open fire on a flock of pigeons.

Some little kid would watch this from the window of his plane to Dallas in confusion.

"Mommy," he would say, "what is that man doing?"

His mother would look out with a smile, and then she would place her arm around his shoulder reassuringly.
